About the group
Experienced, approachable optometrists looking after vision in The Bay
BAYEYEQ is an optometry group in Kabega Park, Port Elizabeth / Gqeberha. We combine decades of clinical experience with a genuine interest in each person's sight — taking the time to listen, explain, and care for your vision in a way that fits your life.
A group built on personal care
Good eye care is rarely one-size-fits-all. The way you use your eyes at work, at home and at play, your health history, and your personal concerns all shape what good care looks like for you. At BAYEYEQ we start by understanding those things before recommending anything.
Our team shares particular interests in contact lenses, myopia control and the way the eyes work together, and we see both adults and children. We are also involved in mentoring and training new optometrists — helping develop careful, considered practitioners who will look after patients well into the future.
Where a concern falls outside the scope of optometric care, we work closely with ophthalmologists to support appropriate referral and ongoing management. The result is connected care: thorough within our group, and well-coordinated when specialist input is needed.

Mentoring and collaboration
Beyond caring for patients, the BAYEYEQ team is involved in mentoring and training new optometrists. Sharing experience with the next generation keeps our own group sharp and helps grow a profession that serves patients well.
We also work closely with ophthalmologists where appropriate. When a concern needs specialist input, we help arrange referral and continue to support your eye health alongside any specialist care — so nothing falls through the gaps.
